In-Home Service Technician

Our In-Home Service Technicians are the face of Jordan’s Furniture when it comes to quality care and craftsmanship. Whether you're experienced in furniture repair or motivated to learn a new trade, we provide the training and tools you need to succeed. Known for our in-depth Furniture Repair training program, we equip our technicians to handle everything from stitching upholstery to wood, leather, and motion furniture mechanism repairs—all performed right in the customer’s home.

Hands-On Training

Whether you're experienced in furniture repair or ready for a career change, our hands-on apprenticeship program will give you the skills you need to succeed. Over the course of our comprehensive 4-month training program, you'll learn how to expertly repair furniture in customers' homes.

You'll be trained to:

  • Refinish and patch damaged furniture using paint, stain, enamel, or lacquer

  • Repair, replace, and rebuild damaged leather, upholstery, or mechanical parts

  • Set up and operate tools such as power drills, sanders, saws, and other equipment required for repairs

  • Communicate effectively with customers to explain repair techniques and warranty programs

Our goal is to prepare you with the technical skills and customer service confidence to thrive as an In-Home Service Technician.

On the Road

Our technicians spend their days on the road in company-provided vans, typically making 5 to 10 stops at customers’ homes each day. From crowded city streets to busy highways, technicians must be able to safely navigate a variety of driving conditions.

At Jordan’s Furniture, safety is a top priority. That’s why a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record are required for this position.
