This console was exactly what we wanted. It is a substantial piece, well made and looks terrific. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 Stars is the front fretwork. The edges should be sanded smoother and they aren’t. They catch dust and when trying to clean it, bits of cloth get caught making it hard to remove the dust and lint. Overall, for the price, we are very happy with it.

We are extremely happy with the Prisma 80" console that we are using as a stand for our 65" television. After a great deal of searching, this piece was the only console that met our specifications for quality, style, size, and storage.

The overall impression is beautiful with its well-balanced combination of three drawers with smooth glides, two glass front cabinets, and the open central shelves. The storage space keeps the neighborhood around the television free from A-V clutter. The stacked cable box and DVD player and a hidden power strip all fit neatly on the bottom open shelf with room to spare. In the lovely cabinets, I have covered a dozen baskets of CDs with soft black cloth to reduce the visual distraction through the glass. The impression is of dark storage.

The black painted wood is sturdy and smooth. Our only mild complaint would be that the "distressed" patches of brown showing through the black look overly regular. With time, we barely notice this. The combination of brown and black is striking and works really well with our cherrywood floors.

The added length of the 80" console gives a protective buffer zone for the fragile edges of the television while simultaneously providing pleasant relative proportions of the television and console. The narrow depth of the piece keeps it from overpowering the room. The impact on our room is that we have a sleek, understated, commodious piece of furniture that frees up more space in the room than we had with a smaller television.

The woman who helped us in the Natick store had great design sense that she shared while looking at our photos of the space where we would be placing the console. The delivery people were cheerful, careful, and punctual. The whole Jordan's experience for this purchase was excellent. We highly recommend this console.
