Scratches Very Easily
We bought the floor model at a great discount, so we really can't complain too much. The unit itself looks great. Our only 2 complains are that it scratches VERY easily. The veneer seems to be quite thin. Simply budging a DVD player removed the finish on the shelves.
The other complaint is that there are no holes on the left or tight cabinets for wires - only in the middle. So if you put electrical components like DVD players or speakers in the sides, there is no way to run cables to them. Seems like a poor design for something that calls itself an entertainment console. We ended up drilling through the back board to create a couple of holes to make this possible, which was nerve wracking as the backboard is quite thin as well and splinters very easily when drilled.
Overall it's a good looking unit that wont take much of a beating. We're glad we didn't purchase it at full price.
