Look for the unexpected when curating your table décor like mini pumpkins in dusty green and white, golden ferns, and weathered branches. Infuse warmth with pillar candles surrounded by a base of fresh moss. Finish the look with linens in moody hues like deep cranberry or rich forest green.

Maple Bourbon Apple Crisp || An unexpected twist on a classic favorite...


5 apples -- peeled, cored, and sliced. Crisp apples (like Empire) work best for this recipe.

3/4 cup real maple syrup

1/2 cup flour

1/2 cup rolled oats

1/2 cup brown sugar

1/4 cup butter, softened

1 tablespoon of bourbon

1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon

1/2 teaspoon of nutmeg


Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.

1. Place apples in an 8x8 inch baking dish and toss with maple syrup and bourbon.

2. In a separate bowl mix flour, oats, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and a pinch of salt. Cut in butter until the mixture is crumbly and sprinkle evenly over the apples.

3. Bake for 35 minutes until the top is golden brown. Serve warm and enjoy!
