Share The Loveseat || Make a reservation for two on the coziest seat in your home

Often used as the welcome companion to your living room sofa, the loveseat plays a significant role even on its own, and provides just the right amount of comfort for two. In addition to encouraging intimate conversation, a loveseat is also a great option if your space won’t quite accommodate a sofa, but you still want that cozy feel. If you sometimes have guests stay over, a sleeper loveseat will maximize efficiency. If space is even tighter, consider the loveseat’s little cousin, the chair and 1/2, which you can also find as a sleeper. And, don’t limit your loveseat to just your living room. It can also work in a larger bedroom, guest room, den, library, office or wide hallway.

Arrangements You’ll Love || You have many options for where to place your loveseat in a room. On its own, it can work in a bedroom next to a window. Tuck it into a kitchen corner nook with a small table. Or, give it pride of place in a hallway or entranceway. If it’s positioned with other furniture, place it opposite your sofa with a cocktail table in the middle, arrange it perpendicular to your sofa, or place it opposite a fireplace with an accent chair on each side. Keep in mind, your loveseat doesn’t need to lean against the wall. Give it breathing room to float within the room for a more relaxed look.

Lovable Styles & Details || Though often paired with a matching sofa, a loveseat looks just as inviting in a different style or with non-matching upholstery. For example, if you want a more formal look, pair a French-style upholstered settee with your sofa. Or, your sofa and loveseat can be the exact same style, but your loveseat is covered in a different fabric. Think about specific features like what style of arms and back you like, or try an armless loveseat for a more contemporary look. Do you prefer a piece that’s fully upholstered or do you just want upholstered seats? Casters are a great option on a lighter piece for rearranging at will. You can up the luxury factor with velvet, tufted leather or power reclining features. Add toss pillows to accessorize – two matching square ones always work, but you can also use one long bolster pillow, or even three pillows layered in different shapes and patterns.
