Over $155,000 was raised at the 2nd Annual Jordan’s Furniture Foundation Charity Golf Classic on Monday May 22, 2023 at TPC Boston. Over 135 players and dozens of sponsors helped to raise funds that will go back into local neighborhoods to help families and children dealing with financial, educational, and societal hardships. The golf tournament took place at the award-winning, PGA-approved TPC Boston Golf Course in Norton, MA.

“We are thrilled to not only host another successful fundraiser but to also continue to build the Jordan’s Furniture Foundation that will strengthen the philanthropic legacy that began when my family started the business”, said co-CEO Josh Tatelman. “We are excited to reinforce the personal philosophy of community outreach that has been instilled in us since we were young,” said Josh’s brother and co-CEO Michael Tatelman. “The funds from the Jordan’s Foundation will enable us to partner in so many of the communities in which we serve,” the brothers concluded together.

During the past year, the Jordan’s Foundation has made some significant donations to area programs including $75,000 to Boston Children’s Hospital, a large product donation to the Ron Burton Training Village, a program that assists youth and teens in difficult circumstances, and a major gift to Dana Farber’s CowParade campaign, that supports families in the fight against cancer.

The Jordan’s Charitable Foundation was founded to support local families and children who are facing food insecurities, housing issues, clothing challenges, and financial difficulties. The funds will be distributed through partnerships with local organizations who serve these populations.

TAUNTON, MA – Jordan’s Furniture made a very special delivery supporting youth facing difficult and challenging circumstances. The furniture retailer delivered 20 bunkbeds and 40 mattresses to the Ron Burton Training Village (RBTV) in Hubbardston, MA. And there were some honorary furniture delivery staff on site! Patriots players Devin McCourty, Matthew Slater, Nate Solder, and David Andrews helped unload the Jordan’s trucks and set up the bunkbeds,

The Ron Burton Training Village is run by the legendary Burton Family, with a mission to train challenged youth to achieve their life’s purpose through education, leadership, physical well-being, and spiritual growth.

Jordan’s Furniture co-CEO Josh Tatelman spearheaded the initiative and donation. “We’ve known the Burton family for many, many years. And we have witnessed some of the impressive young adults who have graduated from the Training Village. The work that the Burton Family accomplishes through this program is commendable,” Tatelman says. Linda SanGiacomo, Sr VP of Marketing for Jordan’s adds “This donation continues Jordan’s efforts to support the community and many children and families in need.” Tatelman concludes, “We are so happy and very proud to make the donation of beds and mattresses for their newly-renovated dorms and staff rooms on the campus,”.

The Ron Burton Training Village has served over 9,000 young men and women in its 37-year existence. “These children come from so many different backgrounds, but they all strive to better themselves, “ Paul Burton explains, RBTV Vice President. “Through a curriculum that teaches discipline, self-respect, self-esteem and so many other important values, we provide an experience that, we hope, makes a difference during their entire lifetime. We are thankful and appreciative of the Jordan’s donation.”

The Ron Burton Training Village was created by Ron Burton Sr over 37 years ago. No child is turned away due to financial difficulties and they are each provided with sweat suits, running shoes, socks, and t-shirts.

Taunton, MA – Jordan’s Furniture announces a $75,000 donation to Boston Children’s Hospital that will go directly to the needs of families with children who are patients of the hospital. This significant gift comes from the newly created Jordan’s Furniture Charitable Foundation, an officially registered 501c3 charity. The mission of the Foundation is to support local children and families in need. There was a check presentation inside the Jordan’s Avon store at The Enchanted Village.

Donations to The Every Child Fund go directly where they’re most urgently needed and can touch every aspect of Boston Children’s four-part mission—research, care, community health and education.

2023 WPLR Toy Drive raises over $165,000 for CT charities at Jordan’s Furniture in New Haven

Jordan’s Furniture in New Haven hosted the WPLR’s Chaz and AJ Toy Drive on Friday December 9th from 6am to 10am, collecting cash and toys equaling $167,200 to be distributed to local CT children’s charities.

The annual fundraising live radio broadcast featured performances from classic rock band Foghat, local band Finger Eleven, plus youth school band Rock House and area favorite The Rum Runners.

Other highlights included appearances from Governor Ned Lamont, US Senator Richard Blumenthal, New Haven Mayor Justin Elicker, East Haven Mayor Joseph Carfora, and other local dignitaries and politicians including former State Senator George Logan, Bridgeport Mayor Joe Ganim and Bridgeport mayoral candidate John Gomes.

“Another year and another great event thanks to the tremendous support of our listeners,” Morning Show host Chaz said, “To be able to raise over $167,000 in cash and toys and know that it is helping a child in Connecticut wake up to a better Christmas, is so heart-warming.”

The toys and cash were distributed to Boys and Girls Village, Boys and Girls Club of the Lower Naugatuck Valley, Central Connecticut Coast YMCA, McGivney Community Center, TEAM Inc., and the Center for Family Justice, Inc.
