| Jordan's Furniture in Nashua Runs Adoption Event "The Adoption Option" | The Jordan's Furniture store in Nashua, New Hampshire, will host an adoption event called "The Adoption Option" on Sunday morning, March 13th, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Jordan's Furniture is working in conjunction with the Mass Adoption Resource Exchange (MARE) and with the New Hampshire Department of Children, Youth, and Families (DCYF), which is NH's equivalent to DSS in Massachusetts.
The Nashua Adoption Option is open to the public and encourages families from both New Hampshire and Massachusetts who are interested in learning more about adoption and foster care. Guests are encouraged to register ahead of time with DCYF by calling 603-271-4319. However, walk-ins are welcome.
The Jordan's event on Sunday morning, March 13th, will be in a workshop format where guests can learn more about the adoption process in general. It encourages anybody who has thought about adoption or foster care to attend and find out more information. No children in foster care will be attending.
This is an informational event and the first step for many people who have thought about the concept but have never acted on it. The Adoption Option will provide an opportunity to find out about specific adoption topics and the adoption process.
We hope that we can take the model that we created in Massachusetts and assist in New Hampshire's cause of adoption. |
