| Coats for Kids 2008 | Jordan's Furniture teamed up with Anton's Cleaners for a wonderful program that provided winter coats for people in need. The program, called "Coats For Kids", collected like-new condition coats and distributed them to families in need through The Salvation Army and community action programs. All four Jordan's stores and the Taunton warehouse served as drop-off locations, as well as 43 Anton's stores. "Coats For Kids" was promoted on area radio stations through Public Service Announcements voiced by Eliot from October through December.
A record-breaking 6,134 coats were donated by Jordan's customers! (In 2007, the total donation count was 4,690.) With such a huge demand for coats during a year of endless need, there is no doubt that our donation helped to keep many area families warm this winter. |
