Giving Back Is What We Do
It is an important part of the Jordan's business philosophy to give back to the communities that support our stores (Avon, Natick, Reading, and Nashua).
Ongoing projects include:
Project Bread For the past 3 years, Jordan's Furniture has been a strong supporter of Project Bread's Walk For Hunger and their Holiday Spoon Project. Both fundraisers are aimed to support and help hungry people throughout Massachusetts.
Furniture Bank A donation of approximately 50 pieces of product per week go to the Massachusetts Coalition for the Homeless' Furniture Bank. The Furniture Bank is able to fulfill a portion of the many, many furniture requests that Jordan's receives every week.
Verizon MOM (Motion Odyssey Movie) Theater Proceeds from the Verizon MOM theater, located in the Avon store, have been donated to many organizations such as the American Cancer Society, AIDS Action Committee, American Red Cross, March of Dimes, Muscular Dystrophy Association, Children's Happiness Foundation, the Arthritis Foundation, and the Jimmy Fund.
Streetcar Named Dessert Monthly proceeds from the Streetcar, located on Bourbon Street in Natick, go to charity. Organizations that have received donations are Project Bread, Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Southwest Middlesex, The United Way, MSPCC, The YMCA, The Boys & Girls Clubs of MetroWest, The National Multiple Sclerosis Society, and many more.
Fundraisers On Bourbon Street Non-profit organizations are given the opportunity to hold their fundraisers or company events on Bourbon Street in the Natick location. With the beautiful facades, riverboat stage, and huge video screen, the store will make a natural venue for a charity event.
Holiday Gifts For "Head Start" Children Each year, the employees of Jordan's Furniture purchase gifts for the students of local Head Start programs. Each gift is bought for a specific student and is delivered in time for the school's holiday party.
MA Adoption Resource Exchange (MARE) Jordan's is a strong partner of MARE, an organization that handles the placement process of foster children throughout Massachusetts. Through traditional media, in-store displays, and adoption recruitment events, Jordan's assists MARE in their mission of finding permanent homes for "hard to place" children.
