Jordan's Furniture Promotes Adoption Through Foster Care

In partnership with The Massachusetts Adoption Resource Exchange (MARE), Jordan's Furniture displays beautiful color portraits of children who are currently in foster care and seeking a permanent loving home.

Jordan's Furniture sponsors MARE's Heart Gallery, which features youths currently under the care of the state, ready to find safe and secure adoptive homes. The majority of the children are between the ages of 6 and 18. They include sibling groups, children of color, and youths with intellectual, physical, and/or emotional difficulties.

Throughout the state, professional and hobbyist photographers volunteer their expertise in creating inspiring portraits that capture the essence of these children. The Heart Gallery outreach program educates interested parents and families about adoption through foster care as well as the need for adoptive families for older children.

The photos within the Heart Gallery exhibits continually change. They are updated as the living situation of specific children change. Informational brochures are available for interested customers.

Our Role

Jordan's Furniture is the sponsor of the Heart Gallery. We help support MARE's efforts by providing a venue for displaying the Heart Gallery, along with underwriting some of the program's expenses.

In the Reading store, the Heart Gallery is in the hallway near the escalators. In Avon, it is posted on the elevator bank in the Atrium. The Heart Gallery in Natick is right on Bourbon Street, near the entrance of the store. The Heart Gallery photos in Nashua can be seen on the wall of the store office.
