Massachusetts Coalition for the Homeless

FOR OVER A DECADE, Jordan's Furniture has worked closely with the Massachusetts Coalition for the Homeless.

Among its other services, Massachusetts Coalition for the Homeless (MassCo) solicits donations of beds, sofas, chairs, tables, and other household essentials to then give free of cost to those individuals transitioning from homelessness to permanency.

MassCo's Donation Assistance Program and Furniture Bank provides a "furniture clearinghouse" for families in transition.

Our Role

Jordan's Furniture is just one of many resources for the Donation Assistance Program. We regularly provide used and/or slightly damaged items for the program.

Due to the sheer volume of furniture donation requests that Jordan's Furniture receives from various individuals and charitable groups each week, it is impossible for us to fulfill them all. By donating directly to the Massachusetts Coalition for the Homeless and then referring callers to that program, Jordan's is able to provide many families with the furniture basics they need to get started again.

All Jordan's Furniture donations to the Furniture Bank are used directly by the clients of MassCo.
